A Lifelong Goal Realized and Ready for Your Table

For many long time residents in the Napa Valley, the dream is to one day produce and bottle wine under their own label. Having worked in the trenches of the wine industry for many years and saving all their pennies for a rainy day, John and Michele Schulz are proud to have finally made their first step toward achieving their dreams.

Schulz Cellars was founded in 2005 and the owners bring a combined 35 years of wine industry experience to their new entity. With John’s history in ultra premium wine distribution and sales, and Michele’s expertise in winemaking and retail, Schulz Cellars is one of the new darlings of Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District producing high quality vineyard designate wines with very limited production.

The small portfolio includes only three Napa Valley wines: a Zinfandel from Mt. Veeder, a Syrah from Oak Knoll, and a cuvee blend of Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. This lifelong goal for John and Michele Schulz has finally come full circle and they hope Schulz Cellars wines will continue to find their way into your homes and onto your table for many years to come.

Each and every wine selected for our six different Wine Clubs meets our strict guidelines for quality and rating criteria. Each wine is handcrafted by an authentic, small-production boutique winery with a compelling story to tell like the one above. Since our first Gold Wine Club shipment in 1992, we have added five more impressive Wine Clubs to choose from—each a showcase for highly-rated, sought-after wines you can enjoy as a Gold Medal, wine of the month club member.
