Rutherford Ranch Winery is part of a family of brands under the Rutherford Wine Company, with a portfolio of wines representing the rich diversity of California’s outstanding appellations.

Rutherford Ranch is located in Napa Valley’s Rutherford District – one of the region’s most renowned sub-appellations and long considered the heart of the valley. Nestled on the site of the original Round Hill Winery, which was started in the 1970’s by Ernie and Virginia Van Asperen, the winery changed owners in 2000 to long-time shareholders Marko and Theo Zaninovich.

The estate vineyards were replanted with superior vines and the winery and Tasting Room underwent significant renovations, yet the estate’s 100-year-old olive grove and unpretentious charm remain essentially unchanged. Winemaker Steve Rued helped the winery and estate vineyards achieve a 100% Certified Organic distinction, which meets the strictest State and Federal guidelines for ‘environmentally progressive’ winegrowing.

The critically acclaimed wines being released from Rutherford Ranch Winery continue to be a hit with the press and public alike, and noted wine writer Robert Parker has aptly named these wines among the “best value in Napa Valley.”

Each and every wine selected for our six different Wine Clubs meets our strict guidelines for quality and rating criteria. Each wine is handcrafted by an authentic, small-production boutique winery with a compelling story to tell like the one above. Since our first Gold Wine Club shipment in 1992, we have added five more impressive Wine Clubs to choose from—each a showcase for highly-rated, sought-after wines you can enjoy as a Gold Medal, wine of the month club member.
