Revolver Wine Company

Napa Valley AVA

Rebellious, Edgy & Different

Bryan Page, a southern California native, first found his calling to the wine industry while studying at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. His proximity to California’s expansive wine country matched with his culinary studies of pairing food and wine created a sense of inspiration and excitement he just couldn’t ignore.

After interning at the popular Wine Spectator periodical, Bryan secured a job at Napa’s Truchard Vineyards in Carneros where he ultimately became the assistant winemaker. He also made wines for Havens Wine Cellars during this time, and served as the chef at close-by Domaine Carneros Winery.

In 1997, Bryan decided it was time to try the wine business for himself and established Page Cellars with the help of his family. The focus at Page Cellars is on Bordeaux-style blends, and while it was - and still is - a successful brand in its own right, he decided to create a second brand that would feature single varietal wines that didn’t quite fit the Page Cellars style. He wanted these new wines to reflect a darker, distinctive, ‘rock and roll’ vibe and thus Revolver Wine Company became a reality in 2003.

Revolver Wine Company was named after the Beatles’ epic Revolver album that was released in 1966 - the same year Bryan Page was born. It had always been one of his favorite albums and its style was much like the wines he wanted to make - rebellious, edgy and different. The first Revolver wine release was a brooding Cabernet Franc named ‘The Fury,’ and it was followed by ‘Purgatory’ Merlot, ‘Perdition’ Petite Sirah, ‘Forsaken’ Petite Verdot, and ‘Redemption’ Late Harvest Zinfandel.

Bryan is recently joined by his brother Chris, who assists in winemaking duties. All of the Revolver wines are produced in Chris and Bryan’s garage style winery in downtown Napa Valley in extremely limited quantities. Their ‘elegance with an edge’ winemaking style is certainly unique and it shines through with the cult following of their distinctive wines. We are pleased to offer this wine to our Garagiste Series Wine Club members. Salute!
