The Little dream is a reality and their estate wines are some of the most sought-after in Sonoma
The Little Vineyards Family Winery is located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, nestled in the Valley of the Moon between the slopes of the Mayacamas and Sonoma Mountain ranges. Rich and Joan Little aspired to live in Sonoma Valley, raise a family, grow grapes and craft ultra-premium red wines.
In 1996, their aspirations came true; the two purchased a 25 acre property from the Hanford Family in Glen Ellen. Since that time, they raised four children, restored the property’s century old farmhouse, planted 17 acres of grapes, and established Little Vineyards as a small bonded winery. In 2002, Joan and Rich decided to blend their winegrowing expertise with the winemaking skills of Joan’s brother, Ted Coleman. In the beginning, they experimented with small lots of wine which received great praise from their family and friends.
The first official release of the 2002 Zinfandel and the 2002 Resonance, a Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon blend, earned even greater praise from major wine competitions for the Little Family Vineyard. Today, the Little dream is a reality and their estate wines are some of the most sought-after in Sonoma.
