Ispiri Wines

Sonoma County region

Crafting highly acclaimed Bordeaux-style wines

Ispiri Wines is the inspiration of winemaker Leslie Sisneros, who focuses on sourcing the finest fruit in Northern California to make wines that reflect her own unique, artistic style. She doesn’t confine the winery to just one vineyard or one varietal, but rather, takes advantage of her long history in the Sonoma region to find vineyards that she believes will deliver the quality and consistency that she expects when creating beautiful wines. Leslie has a long history of winemaking in Sonoma County (over 20 years!) and she is well respected among her peers in the industry.

After earning a degree in viticulture from UC Davis, Leslie worked her way through the winemaking ranks at places like Rodney Strong, Chateau St. Jean, Haywood, and Kendall-Jackson – making a name for herself as a serious up-and-comer. Her mission was to always work with the most intensely flavored varietal clones to provide elegance and structure in her wines, and that style has made her the successful winemaker she is today. By 2005, Leslie was inspired to start her own wine label, and founded Ispiri Wines – Ispiri is Italian for inspiration.

For Ispiri, Leslie sources most of her fruit from the rocky, volcanic soils above Alexander Valley on Pine Mountain (part of the Mayacamas Mountains), but she also seeks out premium fruit from the Rockpile AVA near Lake Sonoma and the Petaluma Gap within the Sonoma Coast. From these regions, Leslie crafts four highly acclaimed Bordeaux-style wines that have proven to be an exciting addition to Sonoma wine country.
