Treasured wines from Treasure Island
This month, we are happy to introduce Heartfelt Wines, a boutique family-owned winery producing a selection of award-winning, small-volume, premium wines on Treasure Island in San Francisco, California. Owner/winemaker Dan Morgan founded the winery in 2010 and released his first vintage that same year. Although best known for his flagship Inspiration Red Blend (Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah), Dan also produces small amounts of Petite Sirah, Old Vine Zinfandel, and Chardonnay.
All of the fruit is sourced from exceptional vineyard properties in nearby Napa and Sonoma counties.
Prior to starting Heartfelt Wines, Dan spent over a decade perfecting his craft, making small batches of wine at home and nurturing partnerships with some of the finest growers in the region. With the encouragement of his friends and family, he launched Heartfelt Wines, based on the founding philosophy that extraordinary wines come from extraordinary fruit. In 2010, Dan embarked on the journey to bring his handcrafted wines to restaurants and wine shops in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Heartfelt Wines are made at Treasure Island Wines, a winery collective including a variety of other small winemakers who all produce small batch, artisan wines. The production facility offers tremendous growth and learning opportunities for these tiny wine producers - plus, the naturally cool climate of the San Francisco Bay offers an ideal setting for winemaking and aging wines,. A shared tasting room features wines from each of the Treasure Island Wines producers, allowing the public to mingle with winemakers while learning about some of the area’s most boutique brands.
Just in his fifth year of production, Dan Morgan has already created a loyal following with his Heartfelt Wines and he continues to focus on producing wines that bring friends and families together. Enjoy!
