A Mexican-American family-owned winery in the heart of the Russian River Valley, Enriquez Estate Wines focuses on limited production Pinot Noir and Tempranillo from the Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley appellations. Since 2011, the Enriquez family has released distinctive, small-batch wines under their namesake label and they continue to grow the brand as they experiment with uncommon varietals not typically found in the region. The Enriquez family is all about pushing the envelope and feel that their unique entry into the winery business empowers them to think outside the box.

It all began in 2009 when Eduardo Enriquez, his wife Ana, and their daughter Cecilia were on a ski trip from their home back East to visit Cecilia's brother in Lake Tahoe. With no snow, the family decided to visit San Francisco and opted to stop in wine country for some wine tasting along the way. They found themselves in beautiful Sonoma County and it was love at first sight.

Eduardo, accomplished in the fields of internal medicine and banking, hails from Guadalajara, but grew up in South Jersey where his father was a top cardiovascular surgeon. As a physician, the scientific side of winemaking had always appealed to Eduardo and he often enjoyed nice California Pinot Noirs at home around the dinner table. Ana's family is from Culiacán, Sinaloa, and has long been involved in agriculture, so viticulture was naturally an interest of hers as well. Their daughter Cecilia grew up in New Jersey (with no wine background) and had initially pursued a career in the financial industry - that is, until she was introduced to Sonoma's wine country where she immediately envisioned starting a family winery and leaving her banking job behind.

In 2011, the Enriquez family purchased a property in Petaluma and Cecilia went to work learning the in's and out's of farming and winemaking. She is both the CEO and Winemaker for her family's winery, a job she takes incredibly seriously. Winemaker Mike Brunson, who Cecilia considers her mentor, has also helped craft Enriquez's limited production wines since the inaugural vintage.

The Enriquez family has since sold the Petaluma property in order to purchase their current estate in Forestville, located within the Russian River Valley. The quaint, tranquil property is full of rustic charm, including a small Pinot Noir vineyard, an old red barn (which they hope to convert into a production and tasting room facility in the near future) and no physical neighbors, allowing the family to enjoy endless vineyard views in every direction.
