Dolin Estate Wine
Central Coast AVA
A rising star winery that's poised for greatness
Founded in 2006 in the newly established Malibu Coast AVA, Dolin Estate began as a small 900-vine Chardonnay vineyard, planted in the backyard of Elliott and Lynn Dolin’s spectacular Malibu property. With incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and Point Dume, this beautiful coastal vineyard has produced several award- winning wines since the inaugural vintage in 2009. Elliott Dolin has recently expanded the boutique brand to include a highly anticipated collection of vineyard-designate Central Coast Pinot Noirs, a development that has quickly boosted Dolin Estate’s presence in California’s wine industry.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Elliott Dolin has lived a very successful professional life, dabbling in both music and real estate before starting his namesake winery. Elliott grew up with a love of music and picked up the electric bass guitar at an early age. He went on to work for Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame producer Jack Clement and even spent a 6-month stint in Sweden working at a legendary recording studio where the first Abba hits were recorded. He has had the opportunity to play with such big name groups as Willy Nelson, Johnny Cash, and the Everly Brothers.
Eventually following his dream to live in California, Elliott left the music world behind and settled in Los Angeles in 1983. After obtaining his real estate license, Elliott teamed up with business partner David Hager to establish Pacific Prime Properties, a successful real estate investment company that he is still involved with today.
While in Los Angeles, Elliott met his wife Lynn, a child psychologist, and the two settled at a stunning Malibu property - the future home of Dolin Estate. Rather than following his landscape architect’s suggestion of a backyard cutting garden, the wine enthusiast in Elliott opted for a Chardonnay vineyard. The south facing, 400 foot elevation site was actually perfectly suited to the varietal and Elliott’s first 105 cases (in 2009) were a great success. Elliott hired Central Coast winemaker Kirby Anderson to continue crafting the wines for Dolin Estate and the two have made an excellent team. In 2012, they expanded the portfolio by adding a lineup of vineyard designate Pinot Noirs from top tier Central Coast properties. The release of these wines has brought great attention to this up and coming producer who now releases close to 2,000 cases annually.
In the meantime, Elliott is proud of spearheading the movement to create the Malibu Coast AVA (finally approved in 2014), and hopes to continue shining a spotlight on the new wine region.
Kirby Anderson - Winemaker

Kirby’s winemaking style focuses on highlighting the vineyard while achieving character, depth, and balance.
