Dani Gold Wines

Napa Valley AVA

Proud to be one of the few woman-owned wineries in the country, Dani Gold offers award-winning, crowd-pleasing wines in her inaugural release.

A new boutique winery project in Saint Helena (Napa Valley), California, Dani Gold Wines is focused on crafting unpretentious, distinctive wines from some of the best appellations in the state. Founder and winemaker Dani Gold is the one-woman show behind this growing brand, and her passion for wine, business, womanhood, and philanthropy is inspiring to say the least. We are proud to introduce Dani Gold to our Gold Wine Club members and share her inaugural vintages with you.

Dani’s love for wine began in her early twenties when she attended her best friend’s bachelor party in England. Yes, that’s right, Bachelor party! While in Europe, Dani was bit by the wine bug as she was exposed to the grape’s fascinating complexities and distinctive flavors. It was this serendipitous trip that began her lifelong passion for creating and appreciating beautiful wines.

Dani’s affair with wine only grew stronger over the years and in 2004, she and her husband began their first winery project in Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. Here, the couple planted a vineyard and built a winery from the ground up, specializing in Rhône-style wines - and they did quite well, earning prestigious accolades from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker along the way. Dani was involved in every aspect of the winery, from vineyard management and winemaking, to marketing, sales and distribution. She loved it all, and ultimately learned what it took to produce a fantastic bottle of wine.

Dani also learned that the wine world could feel overwhelming and pretentious to consumers, and she had a desire to make a more approachable-style winery. She wanted to create wines that delivered in quality, but also wines that people would feel comfortable opening on a weeknight. Dani was also inspired to create one of the few woman-owned wine brands in the marketplace. In 2014, Dani and her husband sold the Paso Robles winery. Dani couldn’t shake her drive and passion, and her ideas finally came together to form her own project, Dani Gold Wines.

Dani Gold Wines was recently launched in July of 2021 in Napa Valley, California. So far, Dani has released a 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2020 Chardonnay, sourcing fruit from premium vineyards in Mendocino County, Napa Valley, and Clarksburg. She works closely with consulting winemaker Molly Lippitt and the results thus far have been outstanding.

Dani’s tenacious and entrepreneurial spirit has certainly set Dani Gold Wines on a quick road to success. What’s more, is Dani’s philanthropic mission to always give back, support research and help raise funds for various philanthropic groups that has become a part of Dani Gold Wines’ philosophy as well.

For now, Dani Gold Wines are only available in select wine shops, so these inaugural releases are truly hard-to-find offerings. Please enjoy these award-winning selections from Dani Gold. Cheers!

Dani Gold is the winemaker for her namesake winery. A Masters in Environmental Science and Biology gave Dani her base knowledge, but she also learned a lot from her Paso Robles winemaker, giving her the hands-on experience to become a talented winemaker in her own right. Dani also utilizes the expertise of noted consulting winemaker, Molly Lippitt, who has spent over twenty years in the wine industry, focusing on the detail and finesse of crafting fine wines from some of the best vineyards in the state. Over the years, Molly has worked with renowned winemakers Heidi Barrett, Philipe Melka, Mike Hirby, and Julien Fayard, and her positions have included stints at Volker Eisele, Moone-Tsai, Paradigm, Duckhorn, Relic, and Talisman. Working closely together, Dani Gold and Molly Lippitt are crafting beautiful wines that are well-balanced, expressive, approachable, and food-friendly.
