707 Estate Wines
Sonoma County region
A boutique winery set in the Healdsburg area of Sonoma County, 707 Estate Wines is a branch of Chateau Diana Winery and offers a focused collection of wines from the family-farmed vineyards in the surrounding region.
707 Estate Wines is a boutique winery centered in the 707 Area Code of Sonoma County, where small-batch wines are made exclusively from family-owned vineyards in the immediate area. The multiple generations of stewards of this fertile land work tirelessly to nurture some of the most celebrated and desirable vineyards in the state, and 707 Estate Wines showcases all that the spectacular vines have to offer.
The tiny entity that is 707 Estate Wines is actually a part of the larger Chateau Diana Winery umbrella that got its start back in 1984 with Tom and Diane Manning. The couple were native New Yorkers with a love for family and tradition, and with their four children, opted to move to California in pursuit of the American Dream. Tom had been involved with Trader Joe’s and helped develop Negociant Wine Brands. He dreamed of starting his own winery and seized the opportunity when a certain parcel of land became available in Healdsburg. In 1984, the Mannings purchased the land where the Chateau Diana Winery now sits on Dry Creek Road.
For many years, the Mannings produced small-batch wines and sold them bottle-by-bottle to build the business. Their children stepped in as well, making it a true family affair. After Tom and Diane passed away, their son, Corey, and daughter, Dawn, took over the operations to continue the family legacy and build on the traditions, standards and values their parents had set in place.
Today, Chateau Diana Winery encompasses several boutique wine brands including 707 Estate Wines, Black Oak, Jawbreaker, and Protest - each with their own focus to fulfill a different niche project within the Chateau Diana Winery. Many of the 707 Estate wines have received awards and medals over the years, as they offer a distinctive and expressive representation of the premier Sonoma County winegrowing region. These wines are made in very limited quantities, so it is a great opportunity to present this bottling to our wine club members this month. Please enjoy.
