(Pinot Noir pronunciation: PEE-noh NWAHR)
A seductive red grape is referred to as the "heart break grape" because it is costly to produce, unpredictable, relatively low-yielding and sensitive to grow in turn into captivating wine. In its home in Burgundy, it produces an astonishing range of nuances, which are highly appreciated by wine lovers from around the world.
French Pinot Noir tends to be of light to medium body with an aroma reminiscent of black cherry, raspberry or currant. California and New Zealand highlights a more powerful, fruit forward and darker wine that can approach Syrah in depth.
Our Pinot Noir Club features an array of styles produced in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Napa Valley, the Russian River Valley region, Sonoma’s Coast, STA. Rita Hills AVA and more. Our Pinot Noir Wine Club features two great wines monthly. If you are not a wine club member, you should be especially if you have a love Pinot Noir.
The Pinot Noirs listed below are selections from our various wine of the month clubs. Choose wines from our 90+ rated Platinum monthly wine club, our Garagiste Artisan Wine Club or our Gold Wine Club. Occasionally we also feature Pinot Noir in our International and Diamond quarterly Wine Clubs. Pinot Noir is a very food friendly wine. Just ask anyone from France, or the Russian River Valley for that matter.
