With a name meaning ‘Out of’ in Latin, the EX 2018 Pinot Noir beautifully expresses the personality and characteristics of the winery’s Certified Sustainable (SIP) estate vineyard, San Saba, in the Monterey AVA of Northern California. The wine opens with aromas of earth, rhubarb, black cherry, cola and touches of shiitake mushrooms and spice, while the palate reveals similar flavors to the nose with enhanced earthiness, juicy fruit notes, and a hint of oak. Well-structured and harmoniously balanced from start to finish, this Pinot Noir ends dry with a lingering touch of toasty oak and spice. Enjoy!
