National wine columnist Jerry Mead gave this wine a score of 93. "Classics violet and raspberry aromas enhanced by wood with flavors of raspberry and cherry. This wine feels good going in, going down, and after it gets there." Robert Parker Jr., in The Wie Advocate rated the wine an 87 saying it "exhibits a delicious spice, menthol, herb and cherry-scented nose; ripe, luscious, expansive, rich flavors that avoid any sense of heaviness. In fact, the wine tastes elegant, medium-bodied and stylish. This is a wonderfully supple, complex Cabernet Franc for drinking over the next 6-7 years." Whitehall Lane owner Tom Leonardini says, "This vintage is far superior to the others." The grapes come from six different Napa Valley vineyards.
