The Watkins Family 2008 Zinfandel-Petite Sirah was produced from grapes grown in Sonoma’s Dunbar Vineyard and Taylor Mountain Vineyard, the property Randall Watkins grew up on and where he and his father planted the Watkins Family Zinfandel in 1979.
Comprised of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, this wine is concentrated and complex with flavors of dark berries, currants, and pepper with an underlying, subtle minerality. The finish is smooth and long lasting with hints of sage and earthy tones.
