The Volker Eisele Family Estate 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of vineyard blocks from throughout the family estate in the Chiles Valley District of Napa Valley. The varying terrain, different clones, and different rootstocks produces a patchwork of flavor identities, and the resulting cuvee show uncommon balance and finesse. Brilliant ruby red in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with generous aromas of spicy black plum, boysenberry, and cassis, with subtle hints of cedar and clove. The ample flavors of blueberries, blackberries, and dark chocolate are supported by well-structured, supple tannins that lead into a lingering finish with notes of vanilla and clove. Enjoy!
