Vinum Cellars' 2016 'The Scrapper' Cabernet Franc comes from Camino Alto Vineyard in the El Dorado Foothills that's managed by veteran grower Ron Mansfield. Ron has organically farmed this vineyard for over 35 years and his rich, intense, mountain fruit has made 'The Scrapper' an award-winning wine for many vintages.

Deep plum in color, this Cabernet Franc opens with intense aromas of blueberry, cassis and huckleberry that jump from the glass. The palate is silky and well-structured with flavors of ripe blueberry, cassis, tobacco and black cherry, lined with hints of vanilla. It drinks beautifully now, but will mature gracefully for 20+ years. Enjoy!
