Chivite’s Viña Salceda brand began in 1969 and has evolved to rank among Spain’s most highly regarded wines. Produced from the famed Rioja region, Viña Salceda wines benefit from optimal microclimates, modern winemaking techniques, and a distinctly unique character.
This 2006 Reserva is comprised of mainly Tempranillo with a touch of Graciano (a red grape typically used in blends and characterized by its deep red color, strong aromas, and ageability). Intense and complex, the 2006 Reserva has aromas of fine oak-clove, vanilla, and mature black fruits with elegant flavors of spices and blackberries.
Viña Salceda’s Reserva has been ranked among the Top Spanish Wines, according to London’s New Wave Spanish Wine Awards, and it has been chosen as the Best Reserva wine from Rioja by Norway’s Aperitif wine magazine.
