The wine is sourced from the Bartolomei Brothers vineyard just outside of Ukiah in Mendocino County. The vineyard is 80-years-old and the Carignan vines are head trained and nestled up against the bench of the eastern Ukiah Valley. The 2017 Rosé evokes the intensity of the vintage. Aromas of strawberry and tangerine stand out among the fruits jumping from the glass. The wine’s acidity pops on the entry to the palate. Flavors of honey crisp apple and raspberry lead to a smooth finish. As always, Rosé goes well with a wide range of food and is perfect for warm nights and porch sipping.
90 Points – Tim Fish:
“Floral strawberry, watermelon and orange zest aromas lead to vibrant and pretty flavors.”
