Grapes used to produce this tasty Chardonnay came from the Trentadue estate vineyard in the heart of Alexander Valley. The vines are a mature 18 years old and produce an average of 4.5 tons per acre. This wine is made in a “fresher” also known as “modern” style of winemaking focusing on the fruit and freshness that Chardonnay grapes can offer.
Citrus, melon, pear and apple aromas dominate the sensory impression followed by some mineral and stony character to complete an intriguing package. On the mouth the wine is fresh with obvious acidity but well balanced by a round and full-bodied fruitiness that leads to a long and pleasant juicy finish.
