Peter Tonti’s interest in wine began in the 1940’s when he was just a kid, watching his Italian immigrant father make wine with an old hand-cranked press in their family basement. It was a tradition that instilled in Peter a lifelong dream to honor his father’s vision and to one day establish a family winery of his own. Peter finally started Tonti Family Wines in 2014, crafting a range of Zinfandels from the Russian River Valley. The vines are all farmed organically to assure the highest quality of fruit is achieved each vintage. Tonti’s 2018 Old Vine Zinfandel Rosé is refreshingly dry with aromas of cassis tisane, raspberry and rhubarb and a crisp, dry body with notes of lavender and white grapefruit zest coming through on the finish.
