This Toccata 2014 vintage Pinot Grigio is grown in the Los Alamos Vineyard along the San Antonio Creek near the Pacific Ocean. The temperate climate of this region allows the grapes sufficient time to mature before harvest without substantial weather fluctuations - ideal conditions for the Pinot Grigio grape to flourish. The vines at Los Alamos Vineyard are diligently tended to throughout the growing process, carefully harvested and nurtured in the winery to produce this unique 2014 vintage.
The result is a crisp wine with delicate aromas of lemon peel, jasmine tea, lily flower, and pear which gives it a bright, lingering finish. Due to the cool climate, natural acidity develops in the grapes before harvest, adding a light citrus undertone. The 2014 Pinot Grigio would be a superb addition to a wide variety of light dishes, salads, fruit and cheeses.
