The Farm’s 2011 ‘The Big Game’ is a Red Blend of Bordeaux and Rhône varietals produced from three spectacular vineyard locations on the Westside of Paso Robles – Terra Bella, Adelaida Springs Ranch, and L’Aventure. In wine, the rivalry between France’s Rhône and Bordeaux regions is timeless, and with The Big Game, these two opponents come together in a perfectly balanced, layered, complex, and mouth filling wine. The nose is nicely focused and fresh with notes of black fruit, concentrated berries, and touches of earth and spice. On the palate, ripe and lush flavors of blackberry, cassis, and sweet oak are beautifully integrated with soft round tannins that linger on the long finish.
