From the Sleepy Hollow Vineyard in cool Monterey County, Tamayo Family Vineyards presents their first vineyard designate wine out of the cellar with their 2006 Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Pinot Noir. These 37-year-old vines are known for producing wines of intense varietal complexity with lively red fruit flavors balanced by an exotic spicy component.

This limited production "bohemian" Pinot Noir flirts gracefully with the masculine side of the variety without compromising the elegance and grace that makes the Santa Lucia Highlands legendary. Full of ripe berry character and hints of rose petal, this full-bodied wine is deliciously endearing and proves a good pairing choice to marinated meats like lamb kebabs or soy-basted pork roasts.
