“The scintillating 2020 Beckstoffer Georges III Sojourn Cabernet is aged in 75% new French oak and is always my favorite wine from the estate. Classic Napa Cabernet notes of dried and fresh blackberry, boysenberry fruit leather, crème de cassis, earthy spice, eucalyptus, sweet tobacco, cedary herbs, graphite powder, and violet flower petals pour from the glass. Fully ripe and concentrated with grippy sweet tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and a lengthy fruit-forward finish complete the wine. Enjoy this one in 2023 and over the next two decades. Only 300 cases were produced. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.”
