The elegant 2016 ‘Three Barrels Blend’ represents the third vintage of Silvia Cellars. A blend of 60% Syrah from Sonoma County and Mendocino County, 20% Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from Suisun Valley, this wine is approachable yet full-bodied and well balanced with rich fruit flavors. Nuances of cherries, toasty oak, candied orange peel and roasted coffee beans intermix and harmonize beautifully on the palate before leading into a long and lasting finish. As was done with the Chardonnay, this wine is a mix of barrel fermented fruit and stainless steel fermented fruit, resulting in a unique wine with excellent flavor development, structure, and tannin balance.
