The 2018 ‘Figurine’ is Sculpterra’s classic trademark blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Primitivo, and 12% Merlot. Hand-picked and carefully crafted from the Frankel Family Estate in Paso Robles, the 2018 ‘Figurine’ offers a plethora of diverse aromas and an overall complexity that is truly breathtaking.
The wine opens with aromas of raspberry pie crust, black pepper, licorice candy, lilac, baked earth, and toasted oak. The mirage of light red fruits provided by Primitivo and the wholesome integration of dark fruits delivered by Cabernet make this blend vibrant, expressive and all around charming. On the palate, this wine is smoothly layered and well-integrated with woody spice notes, savory black olive, charred meat and oregano spice, all supported by dry and polished tannins. Enjoy!
