Ryan Cochrane crafted a beautiful wine with his 2016 Chardonnay, featuring fruit from the esteemed Solomon Hills Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. The proximity of this vineyard to the ocean adds its trademark fresh marine character to the sour apple tart, warmed nuts, and vibrant peach notes found on the nose. That salty minerality carries over to the palate, bringing along lychee nut, custard, blood orange and peach juice that all cling to a bright and firm acidity that carries the whole package home. This wine is food-friendly, well-structured, and accurately reflects the elite site from which it is from. Enjoy!
