Robledo Family Winery's 2006 Pinot Blanc was produced in a soft, luscious, and surprisingly complex style from the esteemed Oak Ranch Vineyard within Lake County, California. Pinot Blancs have been on the rise recently, mostly due to their incredible diversity of style - ranging from the light and fruity Pinot Biancos of northern Italy to the complex oaky masterpieces of some California winemakers, made in a style reminiscent of bolder, richer Chardonnays.
Robledo's Pinot Blanc style hits somewhere in the middle, with an infusion of ripe melon and sweet honey aromas, and lush melon flavors with hints of honey and vanilla. Its soft, well balanced finish lingers with rich fruit notes that only leave you wanting more.
The 2006 Pinot Blanc from Robledo Family Winery was awarded a Gold Medal and Best of Class - North Coast Appellations from the Orange County Fair in addition to a Gold Medal from the Florida State Fair. Try pairing the Robledo Pinot Blanc with soft, buttery cheese, or fresh mozzarella with sliced tomatoes, basil and balsamic.
