Refugio Ranch's 2008 Ineseño is a rustic blend of Roussanne and Viognier, two of the primary white Rhône varietals. On the nose, the Ineseno has spicy aromatics of clove and nutmeg that find a nice balance with notes of ripe pear, tangerine, honey and white pepper. On the palate, flavors of almond extract, browned butter, and graham cracker piecrust combine with more savory flavors of sage and Herbs de Provence.
