Beginning with this 1989 vintage, Quivira Cabernet Sauvignon is designated Cabernet Cuvée to reflect the increased percentages of estate grown Cabernet Franc and Merlot in the blend - 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. The nose presents complex aromas of mint and cedar mingled with currant and black cherry fruit. Rich in flavor and a nice lengthy finish. A concentrated fruit core is framed by French Oak and soft tannins in this well-structured wine.
