Prospice is the creation of two friends with a shared vision for wines and winemaking. After Jay Krutulis and Matt Reilly left their prior professional careers behind, they followed their desire to craft artisanal wines in the esteemed winegrowing region of Walla Walla, Washington and Prospice was born. The name ‘Prospice,’ from the Latin phrase ‘look to the future,’ represents both their belief in the optimistic and forward-looking nature of wine and winemaking as well as their respect for the deeply rooted traditions of the past. At Prospice, Jay and Matt’s focus is on making balanced and elegant wines that celebrate the source fruit and the vineyard sites.
Their 2020 Rosé is a blend sourced from the Lonesome Spring Ranch Vineyard in Walla Walla’s Yakima Valley. This wine is clean, bright, delicate, nuanced, vibrant and delicious - hitting all the right notes! On the nose, delicate spring flowers are the first aroma to greet you, progressing into a lively interplay of strawberry, rhubarb and yuzu. The palate is bright with pronounced minerality and flavors of fresh lime, strawberry and raspberry that carry through to the finish. Cheers!
