The Pono 2014 “Hoku” White Wine is a nod to the history of growing Sauvignon Blanc in France’s Loire Valley, blending Sauvignon Blanc (82%), with Sémillon (10%), and Sauvignon Gris (8%). The acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc combines with the aromatics of the Sauvignon Gris and the full body of the Sémillon to create a classically crisp and well-balanced wine with bright aromas and flavors.
In fact, “Hoku” in Hawaiian means “star” or “bright.” Look for aromas of ripe Meyer Lemon and Orange Blossom, a surprisingly big mouth feel, and flavors of tropical pineapple and guava.
