Exceptional sourcing of grapes is the key to this Pono 2013 “Hapa” (which means ‘mixed’ or ‘blend’ in Hawaiian) Red Blend from select vineyards in the Napa Valley. A combination of Cabernet Sauvignon (52%) Cabernet Franc (36%) and Malbec (12%) make this a classic Bordeaux-style blend.

The wine is dark garnet in color with ripened red fruit sensations that offer a marvelous, aromatic nose. A sweet cedary oak character is complimented by specific vanilla notes. Mouth wise, this red is big (almost huge) and coats the pallet with extracted fruit notes. Elegant, silky tannins leave you with a mouthwatering need for more. Slightly high in alcohol, this wine will develop further while in bottle. Enjoy this Pono 2013 “Hapa” now until 2023.
