Verdejo is a white wine grape that has long been grown in the Rueda region of Spain. The grape originated in North Africa, and was spread to Rueda in the 11th Century. Today, the Rueda is known as one of Spain's most cutting-edge wine producing regions and is best known for its white wines, and especially its Verdejo which creates wines of great freshness, rich body, and notes of citrus and minerality.
The Pinna Fidelis 2014 Verdejo is straw-yellow in color with aromas of exotic and citrus fruits, white flowers, and subtle notes of fresh herbs. The palate is full, fresh, and balanced with flavors of fennel and apple. A very aromatic, fresh, and complex wine.
