True to Owner/winemaker Tom Rees’ fascination with Bordeaux-style Cabernets, this excellent example of a classic Bordeaux is elegantly designed and compact in style. It is made from different clones of Cabernet from three vineyards (Garvey Home Ranch, Rutherford Dust and the tiny Muscatine Vineyard in Soda Canyon). All are organically farmed and add different elements to the wine. The wine features black current and a broad, velvety structure. Also discernible in the firm tannins are ripe flavors of both plums and blueberries that enhance layers of the different fruit flavors.
