The Peltier Station 2007 Viognier comes from the winery's Lodi estate vineyard with 12-year-old vines and a reputation for producing award-winning fruit. These vineyards are located in the Lodi AVA just north of the Mokelumne River, with brisk evening breezes and a cooling fog from the Pacific Ocean that promotes bright acidity and a unique, savory Viognier wine.

Peltier Station's Viognier is bright platinum in color with luscious floral, rich, fruity aromas of honeysuckle and melon. Its distinctive flavors of tangerine, grapefruit, and fried banana create a wonderfully appealing flavor combination with incredible complexity. Its long finish has lingering notes of apricot and tropical fruits that suggest a multitude of food pairing options such as aged cheeses, Thai food, and even desserts!

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition awards this full-bodied, perfectly balanced wine a Double Gold Medial and the Lodi International Wine Awards presents this wine a Gold Medal - an impressive feat for this small family winery! Although this wine was put through a secondary malolactic fermentation to promote a richer, creamier mouthfeel, it was no aged in oak in order to preserve its natural fruit-forwardnes. A delicious bottling!
