Patel’s 2010 Red Wine is a tribute to the classic French Right Bank style red wine. Keeping with the tradition of Right Bank wines, Merlot makes up the majority of this blend, while smaller amounts of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon were added to give the wine its lush and elegant mouthfeel. A tiny amount of Petit Verdot lends to the wine’s excellent structure.
Deep red in color, the Patel 2010 Red Wine has complex aromas of red and black fruits with subtly integrated toasty oak notes. This wine is refined, well-balanced, and beautifully structured with nice fruit intensity that compliments the soft tannins and smooth finish. The Merlot for Patel’s 2010 Red Wine comes from the Tourmaline Vineyards in Coombsville, located at the southeastern end of Napa Valley and renowned for its premium Merlot grapes.
