The 2016 Para Maria Rosé was produced in honor of Maria, the forewoman and wife of the current vineyard manager of Stolpman Vineyards, Ruben Solorzano. The name translates to “For Maria, of the Owls” and refers to the people of her native village of Jalisco, Mexico. The people there are so renowned for their all night parties, they have earned the nickname “night owls” or “los tecolotes.”

This 2016 vintage blends predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a small percentage of carbonic Syrah. The resulting wine is light, crisp wine with notes of fresh strawberry, light peach, and racing acidity. It's a dry, zesty Rosé with a flare of exotic lychee, star fruit and jasmine that glide into a lively, yet soft tangerine finish.
