The ultimate summer Chardonnay! Paint Horse Winery's 2007 Carneros Chardonnay is a multi-award-winning wine, packed with flavor and finesse and sure to be your season's top go-to selection. A blend of two vineyard blocks - Green Valley and Sangiacomo - the 2007 Chardonnay shows delicious complexity and incredible balance of flavor from start to finish. The Paint Horse 2007 Chardonnay took home a Gold Medal at the San Diego International Wine Competition and was awarded a second Gold Medal at the Denver International Wine Competition.
This wine pours in the glass a pretty pale straw yellow color and exudes aromas of apple and pear with light floral notes in the background. On the palate, the Chardonnay opens with lots of fresh fruit flavors of apple, apricot and citrus, balanced by a creamy, smooth texture from the barrel fermenting and time spent aging in oak barrels. Try pairing the 2007 Chardonnay with seafood or light chicken dishes.
