Always packed with haunting fragrance and savory intrigue, The Ojai Vineyard’s John Sebastiano Syrah is the winery’s most supple, soft, and approachable Syrah - and this 2019 vintage is no exception. The wine opens with effusive and layered aromas of flowers, stones, cathedral incense, mulberry and blueberry. This dark spectrum of fruit continues on the palate, folded with layers of tobacco, cacao, and meaty olives. While the Syrah certainly had richness and power, it’s the sculpted minerality, super-fine tannins, and floral freshness that makes this wine sing. Enjoy!
