Myka's 2016 Pinot Noir comes from the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County, from hillside vineyards on the terraces of the Santa Lucia mountain range. The exceptionally cool climate here allows for a long growing season which helps the Pinot Noir grapes to develop full ripeness and concentrated flavors. This 2016 Pinot Noir from Myka Cellars is a bold wine with a variety of savory elements, firm tannins and lively acidity. Notes of black cherry, red currant, leather, dusty tobacco leaf, roasted coffee and smoked tea are balanced by mineral textures as the palate unfolds.
