“Mulderbosch Winery is widely accepted as being one of the best wine producers in the country, and Mike Dobrovic, one of the most talented winemakers in South Africa” writes South African wine writer John Platter. This well-crafted blend earned a Bronze Medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition and a second Bronze Medal at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show.

The winemaker’s notes read: “A deep ruby color. Blackcurrant, coffee, nutmeg, all spice, forest floor and mulberry aromas entice the nose. This follows through on the palate together with ripe plum, intense blackberry and voluptuous vanillas giving the wine great structure and complexity that sees the 2003 Faithful Hound as the best yet!”

The wine is very food friendly and will pair well with game birds, roast beef, lamb potjie, steaks, meat stews, ratatouille, and strong cheddar cheese.
