Grown in the historic eastside of Napa Valley's Rutherford appellation, the limited production 2008 "Scarlett" Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon has everything we love about Napa Valley Cabs! From its dark fruit flavors with hints of spice and cassis to its supple tannins and long, silky finish, it is easy to see why this Cabernet Sauvignon is so raved about.
Food & Beverage World says, "Aromatics of blackberries and currants along with notes of oak and spice rise from the glass. The palate unfurls with flavors of cherry, blackberry, and cassis with accents of anise, chocolate, and oak. A dark, rich red with plush tannins -- fans of classic Napa Cabs will enjoy this bottle."
The name for the wine, by the way, comes from owner Sherratt Reichter's 10-year-old daughter who already shows much promise in continuing the family's five generations of Napa winemakers. The McGah 2008 "Scarlett" Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious now, yet will age effortlessly for years to come.
