Martellotto’s 2021 “M” Chardonnay hails from the famed Santa Maria Valley, an AVA that straddles the boundary of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties on California’s Central Coast. This special region consistently ranks as one of the top AVAs for Chardonnay in the entire state; with an exceptionally long growing season, cool climate, and infertile soils, Chardonnays from Santa Maria Valley are flavorful with high acidity and great complexity. Golden in color, this Chardonnay offers notes of apples, pears, and pineapple with a touch of buttered popcorn, lemon brioche, and honeysuckle. It is beautifully balanced and a great wine to pair with any food cooked in butter - chicken with corn on the cob is a great choice! Enjoy!
