The Martellotto 2020 “M” Grenache was carefully crafted from the Portico Hills Vineyard, located just north of the town of Los Alamos in Santa Barbara County. Here, the sandy soils and dramatic temperature fluctuations from day to night create ideal growing conditions that leads to premium fruit. In fact, Portico Hills Vineyard supplies fruit to such esteemed estates as Paul Lato, Ojai, Rideau, Presqu’ile, and Margerum - who only accept the best. This young and fresh Grenache shows the quintessential characteristics of the varietal. Notes of bright raspberry and cassis fruit dominate, while herbal nuances give depth and complexity to the wine. Its natural acidity makes it very food friendly - we recommend lamb burgers or anything from the BBQ. Enjoy!
