Fruit for this Special Reserve Cabernet originated in Maroon Vineyard in the Coombsville AVA of Napa Valley. The vineyard combines several unique factors including varying soils (including volcanic) mostly on hillsides, plus an excellent drainage system. These combine with a cooler climate (Coombsville is much cooler than the rest of Napa Valley) that produces a plethora of exceptional fruit. Unique violet/black color. Aromas of cherry, black currant, blackberry and honeycomb combine to produce dark chocolate and espresso on the palate. Lingering finish produces tobacco and creamy oak tones. Enjoy!
