Lucas & Lewellen’s 2013 Chardonnay was produced from the Los Alamos Vineyard, a cool climate vineyard in the Los Alamos Valley of Santa Barbara County. Stretching for over a mile of Highway 101 frontage, this vineyard is home to 20 grape varieties and has long been a favorite source for many of California’s best wineries.
The 2013 Chardonnay was produced using stainless steel fermentation to allow the naturally bright fruit flavors and aromas to take center stage. This wine has fruity, floral aromas of lilacs, pineapples, and oranges with a silky, lively palate of distinct pear, peach and stone fruit complexity. A hint of lemony-citrus and notes of apples, nuts, and lychee linger with just a touch of oak.
