A blend of 55% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Riesling, 15% Pinot Grigio, and 10% Chenin Blanc, the Toccata 2021 ‘Special Club’ White Wine Blend was inspired by the revolutionary, nontraditional blending that was popularized in Italy when the locals wanted to break free from the strict rules on domestic varietals. Just as the “Super Tuscan” red blends incorporated French and Italian varietals, this white blend is a unique mix of grapes not typically found together - and the result is a fantastic wine which each varietal adding complexity and depth. The Sauvignon Blanc brings the tropical guava and pineapple aromas, and flavors of juicy white peaches and Meyer lemon; the Riesling displays notes of honeyed, melon-tinged flavors; the Pinot Grigio offers subtle notes of lemon peel, lily flower, jasmine tea and pear; and the Chenin Blanc brings the nuances of honey, apricots and basil. The bright fruit flavors in this 2021 White Wine Blend are well balanced by the natural acidity, making for a beautifully refreshing wine. Enjoy!
