The Longoria 2008 Fe Ciega Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the winery's only estate vineyard, located in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation of northern Santa Barbara County, California. This tiny site was planted in 1998 and has produced exceptional Pinot Noirs since Longoria's first vintage in 2001. The 2008 vintage of Fe Ciega Pinot Noir, proves to set the bar yet again with some of the winery's highest plaudits to date.
Stephen Tanzer says, "Highly perfumed bouquet displays scents of black raspberry, rose and sexy oak spices. Sweet and expansive in the mouth, offering sappy red fruit and floral pastille flavors and a bit of white pepper. Exotic and spicy, with outstanding finishing cling and length. Silky smooth and elegant on the palate.
