The Sonoma Valley appellation in Northern California is internationally recognized for producing world-class fruit and in a few short years the Little Vineyards Family Winery has become a shinning star in the region.
The 2004 Little Vineyard Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley, won a well-deserved Gold Medal at the highly-competitive San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and a Silver Medal at the Dallas Morning News Wine Competition. The deliciously vibrant wine is a dark deep purple with a rich ruby rim. The concentrated bouquet opens up to rich wild berry and cherry. An artistic array of wild dark berries, ripe Bing cherry, toasted oak, vanilla, and spice create a lush mouth feel and an elegant finish.
The wine pairs well with the finest flank steak, veal chops Milanese, aged parmesan, grilled Italian sausage, and tomato based pasta sauces.
